Gender and Racial Differences among Elderly South African

South Africa, a Multiracial society, has more than 7 percent of his population aged 60 or more. There are huge differences among sexes and races. White population and females live longer and in poor health than other population stratum. Using data from the 1996 micro-data, this paper will demonstrate in detail this hypothesis.
